Joie de vivre

Joie de vivre is a French phrase to express a cheerful enjoyment of life; exultation of spirit.

The title says it all. I am feeling happy. Not because I am free of problems, but because, I started learning to feel grateful for every little thing happening around me.

Life itself has been a roller coaster to me. There will be a day where I started going up and reached the summit of ecstasy, and there will be a day where I started going down and reached the nadir of morose. But what matters the most is, through the ups and downs of my own roller coaster, I am accompanied by a person who truly cares about me, who will never let me scream and laugh alone in the ride.

You can't expect everyone around you to like you, right? No matter how good you are, how nice you are, or how perfect you are, there will be people who judge and hate you anyway. So, instead of focusing on the negativity, look at the positive sides. Learn to love yourself, accept yourself, and be grateful for every little things happening in our life.

Instead of counting the number of people who hate you, start counting the number of people who love and truly care about you. They may not be a lot, but they are the one who matters the most.

This pink shirt from H&M was given by my friend as my super late birthday present, thank you! I have been wearing this frequently because it's very versatile and comfortable. She gave me another two pieces of clothing and I am going to wear them real soon.

A Touristy Stroll

No longer a tourist, but this touristy spot is simply irresistible. I am pretty sure everyone knows where this is. Yep, the famous Haji Lane in Singapore. Absolutely the must-go-to spot for our fellow instagrammers whenever they visit Singapore. Whether you just love street photography or fashion ootd shot, this picturesque alley surrounded with quirky stores, bars, and restaurant is not something to be missed, right? As for me, its quite a struggle to take my outfit shot here. Came around 5 p.m. in the afternoon, and there were a lot of people wanting to take some shots as well. Need to be quick and brisk in order to get this quite-empty background. Well, thanks to @deahamdan . Had a meet up with her at Bugis that day, then she accompanied me to Haji Lane and helped me to take a quick ootd shot. It was raining in the morning till afternoon, but luckily, the rain stopped when we wanted to go there!  Just a little story, last week, I turned 17. Well, its supposed ...

2017 - Recap.

The fact that January is going to end soon still leaves me in a shock. Time flies that fast, huh? I feel so bad that I haven't make a new year post or a 2017 recap post kinda thing like what most people do. I have been busy catching up with life and especially, uni. Well, what an excuse. However, I would like to thank 2017 for being a very very great year for me. In 2017, I said yes to many many many things. I learned to make important decisions, and especially, I learned how stand alone and solve things with my own feet. I learned that life can somehow be ruthless, but with a strong heart and positive mind, you can conquer it and good things will come to you. I learned that not everyone will like you, and it doesn't matter. How you love yourself and the way you treat yourself is all that matters. In 2017, I made plenty of friends. Sure, I lost some friends during my journey, but again, it doesn't matter. I also volunteered to many new outreach activities, beco...

Monochrome

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I updated my blog. My monthly test are finally over and I am quite satisfied with my marks, even though I still have to work out more on some areas. As I told you in my previous post that I was so stressed about my test, yes, I was so stressed that I got a full packet of sickness (cold + fever + bad cough + dizziness), and I lose 1 kg ._. but I think it's all worth it. I took this photo before I did my Living Values project with my classmates. The project requires us to record a 10 minutes video about act of responsibility, and we had a lot of fun! Anyway, do you notice any changes? If yes, congratulations. I permed my hair just because I want to have a more volumised hair. I hate my super sleek hair, and when my hairstylist told me about this hair perming, I immediately said yes, because having a thick hair is one of my dream. What excites me about this hair perming is that it doesn't damage my hair! What do...
