Self-Love

Many people are struggling with self-love. Do not feel lonely, because I, too, have been struggling with self love. Yes, it's true that some days are darker than the others, but it does not mean that the sun will never come out again. Therefore, I will turn this post into an open letter to everyone who has been struggling with self-love.  There will be days when you are just sitting there at the rock bottom and pick up every flaws that you have, and that is okay . There will also days when you just shine brighter than the sun, feeling good about yourself, and that is also okay . We are not forced to become emotionless. We are allowed to feel, and that is part of being human. Self-love does not come from other people's assurance or compliments. It comes from yourself. It comes from your ability to see and embrace the positives, but also allowing yourself to listen and accept the negatives.  You may not like every part of you, whether it is your looks, persona...

Things I Learned When Staying Away from Home

Staying away from home may sound exciting, and fun. You can enjoy all the freedom that you have been struggling to get, do things in whichever the way you want to, and try new things you have been wanting to try. However, as you grow up, life will not get any easier. Here, I am sharing my personal experience about few things I learned while I am away from home.  1. The only person you can rely on is yourself When staying away from home, being extremely independent is crucial. You wont expect anyone to take care of you when you are sick, or helping you to buy and carry all those heavy groceries.  2. Making friend is not that difficult I used to loathe socialising, making new friends, or the idea of engaging in a conversation. After going to a city where I know no one, I am forced to do all these things. If you are like me, it may sound scary at first, but believe me, it is not that difficult after all. Chin up, be confident, and just go with the flow. ...

A Touristy Stroll

No longer a tourist, but this touristy spot is simply irresistible. I am pretty sure everyone knows where this is. Yep, the famous Haji Lane in Singapore. Absolutely the must-go-to spot for our fellow instagrammers whenever they visit Singapore. Whether you just love street photography or fashion ootd shot, this picturesque alley surrounded with quirky stores, bars, and restaurant is not something to be missed, right? As for me, its quite a struggle to take my outfit shot here. Came around 5 p.m. in the afternoon, and there were a lot of people wanting to take some shots as well. Need to be quick and brisk in order to get this quite-empty background. Well, thanks to @deahamdan . Had a meet up with her at Bugis that day, then she accompanied me to Haji Lane and helped me to take a quick ootd shot. It was raining in the morning till afternoon, but luckily, the rain stopped when we wanted to go there!  Just a little story, last week, I turned 17. Well, its supposed ...

i Light at Marina Bay Sands

Few days ago, I visited i Light at Marina Bay Sands with Bella from  @bellamoreway  on Instagram, and Ellen Ang from  @elen_ang  on Instagram. It was a total pleasure to meet them. Before I proceed, let me explain you what i Light is. Basically, i Light is the light art festival that takes place annually around the Marina Bay Sands area. This year is the fifth edition, although it was my first time visiting i Light.  As I said, meeting them was a total pleasure. Albeit it was my first time meeting them, I can connect and converse well with them. We talked about so many things and did not run out of topics, from boyfriend (although I have none and I could just listen to their advices and experiences, lol) to budget travelling. We had so much fun in exploring the place, just relaxing and gallivanting around while enjoying the illuminating lights of the city. We took quite a lot of photos also, and I was having a very hard time in choosing which...

Bohemian dress

Hello! Is anyone still reading my blog? lol. Its been ages since I last updated my blog. A lot of things has happened.  Its been 5 months since I moved to Singapore, and all I could say is, I love living here. Although at first, catching the correct bus and getting down in a correct bus station seems to be a problem for me, but now I am totally fine with it. Thanks to the founder of Google map for making surviving less difficult.  Now I keep myself busy and occupied with works. Other than college, I joined church-related activities, and I meet a lot of amazing friends along the way. I couldn't be more grateful than that. Also, I have been feeding myself with a lot of positivity, because since I'm living alone here, I feel that I am more responsible for my own self. Trust me, with positivity, everything becomes way easier.   These photos were taken during my first week in Singapore. I chose this flowy dress to give out the bohemian vibe, since the ...

Green Bomber Jacket

It's 3 a.m. in the morning and my brain has gone wild... So let me write another post.  The fact that I am leaving this country in less than one week actually... bothers me. I don't know if it bothers me in a good way, or the other way around, but I guess, its a mixture of both. I am happy to start and learn something really new, get out of my comfort zone, and gain more experiences, but on the other hand, I am not ready to leave everything behind... It's kind of a mixed feelings for me.  I spent my last moment in Jakarta by eating a lot of Indonesians food. Pretty sure I will miss it a lot. I am also done with packing. 2 big luggages for myself, and 1 cabin luggage for my laptop and other important documents. I guess that's not a lot? ( ̄▽ ̄ ") I am currently in love with bomber jackets. It looks good with everything and keeps me warm during gloomy and rainy days. I feel like collecting all of its colours, but I feel that it will be a total ...

Steal My Look: The Pinafore

This blog post is quite different from the others. Why? Because in this post, I am going to let all of you steal my look! I am going to provide you a link where you can shop some products that are similar, or even better than mine! Keep reading, because I am going to put the link at the end of this post.  These days, my mind has been filled with so much thoughts. I'm not sure what it is. I always think of the worst case scenario for anything that is in the near future, and most of the time  sometimes, it's very exhausting. This is not a new thing for me, for I keep on dreaming of failing my exams during the exam week, or having an emergency landing when I was sleeping in a plane, and many more. I must be used to it, right? But these days, its getting so strong that its bugging me, so much.  Anyway, my preparations to Singapore is finally done. Bought so many medicines because I catch flu almost every month, and all the documents needed to process the st...
